Email and SMS campaigns for a therapy practice
There are two lists worth building and neither is your caseload. The first is referral partners and community contacts: prescribers, primary care offices, school counselors, dietitians, attorneys. The second is people who asked about the practice and never booked, plus workshop attendees and anyone who sat on a waitlist. Both are business contacts, which keeps them cleanly outside your clinical record.
A monthly letter is enough. Two or three paragraphs of plain psychoeducation, a line on what your availability looks like now, and a note when a group is starting. Sent to referral partners, that letter beats any ad, because it arrives the week somebody asks them for a name.
The rules are simple and worth following exactly. Written consent before any SMS, an unsubscribe link on every email, no purchased lists, no quiet-hours sends. Two weeks in, the lists are separated, domain authentication passes, and the first letter has gone out.
